Non-profit law cuts fees for charities
(CNS Business): The implementation of the new Non-Profit Organisation Law, 2016 on 1 August will pave the way for charities and non-profit entities to avoid government fees. The law is part of a raft of new legislation passed in order to steer Cayman safely through the jurisdiction’s Caribbean Financial Action Task Force evaluation in December.

Chamber commits to cooperate over disaster relief
(CNS Business): The Chamber of Commerce has signed a statement of purpose alongside Caribbean Central American Action (CCAA), Hazard Management Cayman Islands (HMCI) and Cayman Islands Tourism Association (CITA) to beef up coordination over disaster preparations. “It is vital that we are prepared for any natural disaster,” said Chamber CEO, Wil Pineau.
