Moses Kirkconnell is the current Deputy Premier, Minister of District Administration, Tourism and Transport and First Elected Member for Cayman Brac and Little Cayman, currently serving his second term in the Legislative Assembly.

 

2005: First elected to the Legislative Assembly.

2009: Served as Hon. Deputy Leader of the Opposition from 2009-2013.

2011: Kirkconnell was appointed to chair the Public Accounts Committee of the Legislative Assembly.

2012: Named Deputy Leader of the Opposition (PPM) by the Governor at the time, Duncan Taylor.

An accomplished businessman, Kirkconnell has operated in retail, tourism and construction industries in the sister islands. In 1973, he earned his Batchelor’s Degree in Business, majoring in International Business with a minor in Economics. Most notably, he served as a Director for Cayman Airways from 1992-2005 and was honoured with the Quincentennial Award for Ambassador of Economic Development for the Sister Islands in 2003. In 2005, he was sworn in as a Justice of the Peace for the Cayman Islands.

Kirkconnell is also a founding member of the National Trust, a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary Foundation of Rotary International, and a member of the Veteran’s and Seaman’s Society of Cayman Brac and Little Cayman and an active supporter of a number of youth-related sports and activities.
