(CNS Business): After humble begins with just one staff member, local businessman Don Seymour has expanded his firm’s Irish operations and is planning to hire 50 new staff, doubling the workforce at DMS in Dublin. As well as the Cayman HQ DMS also has offices in New York, São Paulo, London, Luxembourg and Hong Kong but Dublin is now DMS’ second largest operation. Previously known as DMS Offshore Investment Services, but now going by the name DMS Governance, the firm will be recruiting risk management, governance and investment experts, as Seymour grows his international operations.

DMS Europe managing director Derek Delaney said that demand for Irish-regulated funds had increased significantly, and that the regulations governing Irish funds were “both clear and transparent in a manner that is refreshing to the international market”.

The firm’s services cover investment funds known as undertaking for collective investment in transferable securities (UCITS), alternative investment fund (AIF) hosting services, fund governance, Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) services, banking and custody, outsourcing, trusts and corporate services.

The expansion has been supported by the Irish government’s Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through IDA Ireland.
