(CNS Business): Experienced financial services professional Eduardo D’Angelo Silva has been appointed as the acting chairman of the Chamber Pension Plan, following the recent resignation of Ashita Shenoy, who said she resigned in order to avoid any conflicts of interest that could arise from the plan’s investment in an audit client. “As a member of an audit firm, I am subject to compliance requirements that consider the legal ownership of assets,” she said. “It has been an honour to serve as the Chamber Pension Plan’s Chair and wish the very best to the Trustees.”

Silva, who has been a Chamber Pension Plan trustee for two years, has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry and is the Managing Director at Insight Global Holdings.

Fellow Chamber Pension Plan Trustee, Peter Cockhill, was grateful to Shenoy for the experience and expertise that she brought to the Board during her time as Chair.

“We have been extremely fortunate to have had such hard working and knowledgeable Chairperson as Ashita and the Board would like to express its deepest thanks to her for her tremendous services to the Chamber Pension Plan,” he said. “At the same time we are very much looking forward to having Eduardo as our acting Chairman. He has a wealth of experience, has served on a number of boards and associations in the Cayman Islands and is extremely well regarded as a true professional by his peers.”
