(CNS Business): The Cayman Islands will be featured in a hit TV show that highlights how wealth is achieved, used and enjoyed, thanks to a pitch made by local fibre optic company, C3 Pure Fibre, to cable TV network AWE. The network sent a film crew to Cayman in June to film the luxurious lifestyle offered in these islands.

The show, Vicarious Escapes, is hosted by Emmy Award winner Christina Cindruich, who is also the host of the hit series Private Islands. While on island the crew filmed popular tourist destinations such as Stingray City, Starfish Point, the Turtle Farm and Mission House in Bodden Town.

The Yacht Club, Real Estate in Cayman, Seven Fathoms Rum and the beautiful Canal Front properties of the Cayman Islands will also be showcased.

C3, the most recent addition to Cayman’s local phone, internet and TV providers, now carries AWE, a 24/7 high definition cable television network formerly known as WealthTV, The show featuring Cayman will air locally on 15 November at 10pm on AWE TV, channel 556 (in HD) with C3 Digital TV.

“After obtaining the channel rights and we agreed to carry it, we thought that Cayman would fit nicely into the type of islands they showcase,” said C3 Marketing Manager Crystal Gomez. “The channel is all about over indulgence, luxuries and opulence and how to experience this at its finest. We reached out to Christina Cindruich (the host and our channel contact) to film the show in Cayman and after a quick sales pitch on behalf of the Cayman Islands she agreed that Cayman ticks all the boxes to be featured in one of their shows.”

Gomez said that C3 assisted the film crew with finding locations to shoot and arranging tours, as well as purchasing the tickets for the crew to get here and arranging accommodation at the Caribbean Club. The local company also liaised with the Department of Tourism and put Cindruich in touch with the relevant entities to get permission to film here.

General Manager for C3 Pure Fibre, Randy Merren, said, “We are a truly local company and we are so proud to play a part in promoting the Cayman Islands via our relationship with AWE TV, one of our many channel providers. Customers who sign up for one of our bundle packages, which start from just $89, can enjoy this channel and we encourage people to tune in and support our beautiful island.”

“One of the key focal points for C3 Pure Fibre is maintaining good relationships with our channel providers. By doing so, we open up the doors to numerous possibilities that Cayman, and the people of Cayman, have never been exposed to,” Gomez said.
