(CNS Business): Carey Olsen in the Cayman Islands has successfully advised on the first ever listing of retail debt on the Cayman Islands Stock Exchange (CSX). Led by partner Nick Bullmore and supported by Associate Alistair Russell, Carey Olsen acted both as legal counsel and as listing agent to Cyprotex PLC, an AIM-listed company, in connection with the listing of their fixed rate redeemable and convertible loan notes.

Valia Theodoraki, Chief Executive Officer of the CSX, said, “We are pleased to welcome Cyprotex as our first-ever retail debt listing on the Exchange.  As an emerging research and life sciences company, they are a great example of the type of organization that can benefit from our retail debt offering.  We congratulate them and Carey Olsen on this important corporate milestone.”

“Carey Olsen is already a go-to firm for institutional debt listings on both the CSX and the Channel Islands Securities Exchange. We are now able to share our knowledge and experience of retail debt listings with our clients and their onshore counsel,” said Nick Bullmore, partner at Carey Olsen.
