(CNS Business): Zachary Powery, who is about to enter his third year at Edinburgh Napier University, where he is studying for a BA (Hons) Accounting with Law, has been awarded Campbells’ Undergraduate Scholarship for 2014.  Powery is the first member of his Caymanian family to attend a tertiary educational institution, and he hopes to continue making his family proud by his continued excellence in his studies. After three years at John Gray High School, where he featured in the Top 20 Best Reports each year, he continued his secondary education at St Ignatius Catholic School Sixth Form before pursing his tertiary education in the United Kingdom.

“I could not have come this far without the support of my loving parents and entire family who have always been there for me,” Powery said. “Words cannot express how truly grateful I also am to Campbells for recognising my need for financial assistance. I never would have imagined that one day I would be studying abroad and this has been the greatest and most unforgettable experience of my life thus far.”

He continued, “Attending University has not only broadened my knowledge in accounting and law but has moulded me into a far more independent young man. Above all, I am even more grateful that Campbells has made me a scholarship recipient for the second time. I am forever indebted to the firm for making this a dream come true.”

Alistair Walters, Campbells Partner, said the firm was impressed by how Zachary has grown as an individual. “We are proud of his continued success at university. He is responsible, determined and focused. We are pleased to support a young Caymanian such as Zachary. We have no doubt that he will return to Cayman to enjoy a long and successful career.”
